A new Charlestown cafe has introduced a special item to their menu this week as the music world exploded to the news of the reunion of Noel and Liam Gallagher, with 14 concerts scheduled for next summer.

Jenny’s Café From the Ground Up seized the moment within hours of the big announcement with their special “Oasis Soup” being added to their new menu.

With the tagline “You get a roll with it”, the local cafe in the ancestral hometown of the Gallagher brothers has shown great marketing initiative which is sure to capture people’s imagination.

The east Mayo town is a well-known haunt for the rock celebrities, and they spent many summers of their childhood on holidays with their grandmother who lived locally. They have returned to Charlestown since coming to world fame in the mid-1990s, and have been known to frequent local bars and restaurants on their visits.

There is speculation that Noel and Liam might well return to the town when they revisit Ireland in the future.

When asked if they would be tasting the new Oasis Soup now being served at Jenny’s Cafe, one local said: “Definitely, not maybe”.
