Irish TV presenter and co-executive producer of The Traitors Simon Atkins, and sibling producer Warren Atkins scooped an Emmy Award last night for their work on The Traitor Season 2 for Peacock. 

The series which won ‘Outstanding Reality Competition Program’ at the 76th Primetime Emmy Award ceremony marks the second Emmy for the series, with Alan Cumming also picking up the win for ‘Outstanding Host’, bringing an end to RuPaul’s eight-year winning streak.

The critically acclaimed ‘The Traitors Season 2’ made up of reality TV royalty came together in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands, to play a game of deceit, treachery and murder. Hugely popular in the UK and US, it achieved incredible success to become the no.1 most-viewed unscripted series in the U.S. as reported by Nielsen.

The Irish/Burmese gay siblings hailing from Castlebar in Co. Mayo have both been working in the industry for over 15 years. They have worked on some of the biggest shows in the UK and the US including Strictly Come Dancing, Married At First Sight, The Voice, First Dates, The Bachelor, The Courtship, Celebs Go Dating and I Kissed A Boy. Working with a plethora of high-profile celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Rita Ora, to name but a few.

In addition, their entrepreneurial reality TV show ‘Ready Set StartUP’ aired on London Live this summer. It is also available on Amazon Prime. Presented and executive produced by Simon and produced by Warren, the six-part series premiered at Cannes International Series Festival last year. It is the ultimate entrepreneurial showdown, showcasing ten of Britain and Ireland’s most promising early-stage entrepreneurs battling it out to win a £100k investment into their own business. The judging panel included Tom Blomfield, founder of Monzo.

Rising stars both in front and behind the camera, the sky is the limit for the Irish sibling duo have big plans to make more hit series and to produce and co-present their own reality show which they are currently in talks about with broadcasters both in the UK and the US.
