A man died in a workplace accident in the west on Monday evening.
Gardaí said they were called contacted following a fatality at a workplace premises in Boyle, county Roscommon.
A man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was also notified and they have attended the scene of the fatal accident.
