Tthe N17 is currently closed due to a serious road traffic accident that occurred between Claremorris and Ballindine at Castlemacgarrett today.
Local diversions are in place.
Northbound traffic is being diverted in Ballindine towards the R327 (Cloonfad Road), onto the N60, and back into Claremorris, while southbound traffic is being diverted locally.
Mayo County Council have advised motorists to avoid the area.
