Letter of condolence from council after passing of three Mayo-based nuns

Mayo County Council is to write a letter of condolence to the Sisters of Mercy following the recent passing of three nuns in Knock.
Sisters Mary Hernan, Claudine McEnnis and Mary McGlynn passed away within eight days of each other in April.
At last week's Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District meeting, Independent Cllr Richard Finn proposed writing to the Western Province of the Sisters of Mercy to express sympathy.
Sr Mary Hernan, a member of the Sisters of Mercy in Knock and Limerick, passed away on April 11 at the Queen of Peace Nursing Home, Knock. Sr Claudine McEnnis of the St Louis Sisters passed away peacefully on April 17 at Sonas Nursing Home, Knock. She is formerly of Milltown, Co Galway and worked as a teacher in Co Donegal.
Sr Mary McGlynn, of the Carmelite Monastery, Knock passed away peacefully on April 19 in the loving care of the Dalton Nursing Home, Claremorris.
