Fundraising swim in memory of much-loved Mayo community figure

The Tidal Pool in Belmullet where the Noel Reilly Annual St Stephen's Day Dip will take place

A St Stephen’s Day swim will be taking place at Belmullet Tidal Pool in memory of a beloved local man.

The Noel Reilly Annual St Stephen’s Day Dip in aid of Cancer Care West takes place at the Tidal Pool at midday on Friday, December 26.

The event is being held in memory of Noel Reilly, a much-loved Belmullet man who passed away 10 years ago of cancer. He was a pillar of the town where he ran O’Donoghue’s Bakery with his wife for over 40 years and also served the community with distinction as chair of the local Tidy Towns for over 30 years.

All funds raised will go towards Cancer Care West. Noel stayed at their Inis Aoibhinn accommodation while he was receiving radiotherapy treatment.

For sponsorship cards or further information, please contact Eva Reilly (086 3199 905) or Paul Reilly (086 357 1849).
