Fundraising effort to repatriate Mayo woman who has died in USA
The late Yvonne McHugh from Castlebar whose death occurred in the USA on Friday.
A fundraising campaign has been launched to help fund the repatriation of a young Mayo woman who has sadly passed in the United States.
The death of Castlebar native Yvonne McHugh Landry occurred on Friday. She had been living in the Boston, Massachusetts area for over 10 years.
Friends have described Yvonne as “one of a kind” and using the GoFundMe platform, explained that “funds are being raised for funeral expenses including costs to bring her body back to Ireland, her final resting place.”
Within six hours of launching the appeal on Sunday, over $13,000 had been raised.
