A contingent of Bayer Leverkusen supporters used Ireland West Airport Knock's facilities to fly home following Wednesday's UEFA Europa League final in Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

The fanbase, who have had quite the season - watching their side claim the Bundesliga title and go unbeaten until last night, travelled back to Germany disappointed following their 3-0 defeat to Serie A outfit Atalanta.

Former Everton attacker Ademola Lookman was the hero in the Irish capital thanks to his three goals which gave the Italian club their first trophy in 61 years.

Ireland West Airport Knock welcomed the Leverkusen fans to the west before they hopped on a charter flight to Cologne in the early hours of this morning.
