East Mayo business announces it is set to close

A popular East Mayo builders and plumbers supplies merchant has announced it is closing after 16 years in business.
The decision to shut its doors was announced on the MP Moran & Sons Ireland Branches group Facebook page on Monday.
There were a multitude of comments to the social media post with many describing it as terrible news and a big loss to the town and area.
"It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our Swinford branch closing its doors for the final time soon," the post read. "Over the past 16 years, we've been truly grateful for the trust and support of our amazing customers in Mayo."
The post stated that their Ireland company will continue to thrive in their Kerry branch and thank customers for being part of 'our journey'.
Moran's are hosting a closing down sale over the coming days.
One woman who responded commented, "Sorry to read this, wishing ye all the best in your next chapter", while another woman posted, "Dreadful news, they will be greatly missed".
