Councillors to walk town together after Heritage Day meeting

Ballina's councillors will 'walk in unison' through the town after their next monthly meeting taking place on National Heritage Day.
At the suggestion of Cllr Annie May Reape, councillors will meet at 10am on July 10, conduct their meeting and then walk through Ballina, which will be packed for Heritage Day.
Cllr Reape said this was a ‘tradition’ she would like to see return because local councillors used to regularly do this. All other councillors agreed unanimously to this.
There will no monthly meeting in August.
Ballina councillors agreed they will hold their monthly meetings at 10.30am on the third Wednesday of every month from September.
