Birdwatch Mayo to host meeting in Louisburgh

Carrowmore Beach in Louisburgh is the venue for the next gathering of Birdwatch Mayo.

Members of Birdwatch Mayo will meet in the car park at Carrowmore Beach, Louisburgh, at 10am on Sunday, March 3rd.

Darren Ellis and his partner, Hannah Keogh, will guide the group. Darren is a conservation ranger for National Parks and Wildlife Service (NWPS) and undertakes the Irish Wetland Bird Survey (IWeBS) for the sea loughs/lagoons in this area. Depending on numbers we may need to car share as many of the roads are narrow with few parking spaces. Most of the viewing will be from the roadside so this event is suitable for wheelchair users. A telescope would be beneficial if you have one.

You do not need to be a member of BirdWatch Ireland to attend Mayo branch events. Children are most welcome but they must be accompanied. Bring any refreshments that you need. Wear appropriate clothing for the forecast weather conditions.
