Ballina residents are asked to take part in novel survey

Ballina is home to a wide range of built and natural heritage with associated histories.

Ballina residents have been invited to participate in the HeritACT project survey.

Ballina is home to a wide range of built and natural heritage with associated histories, and remains resilient and diverse, with an unwavering spirit within its community and surveyors want to hear from the community.

The stories and values survey makes up part of a wider project to map the town’s rich cultural heritage.

Residents and members of the Ballina community have been invited to share their stories and values as part of the survey. This can be a cherished memory, a favourite local place or the cultural heritage of the town that you value, all inputs will be invaluable and will help to inform the pathway towards a sustainable future.

The insight will be crucial to HeritACT in uncovering new opportunities for conserving and reviving the historic structures of the town.

Participants will use a mapping tool to pinpoint such a location and it can be accessed via www.herithub-ballina.eu There will also be a drop-in centre at Ballina Library on Pearse Street this Wednesday between 12pm and 5pm.
