May they rest in peace.

The two teenagers who lost their lives following a road crash near Ballina have been named locally.

Padraic Tuffy (19) and Cian Farrell (18) were pronounced deceased at the scene following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision on a local road (L5140) at Laghtadawannagh near Ballina, in the early hours of Sunday morning, March 1st.

Three other occupants of the car - two males in their mid-teens and one adult female in her late teens - were transported by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
