A weather advisory has been issued for the country amid the arrival of a storm this coming bank holiday weekend.
Met Éireann have stated that Storm Floris will bring wet and unseasonably windy weather on Sunday night and the public holiday Monday.
Some potential impacts include dangerous travelling conditions, knock-on impacts for outdoor events, structural damage, fallen trees, debris and loose objects, power outages, wave overtopping and localised flooding due to leaves.
Warnings will be issued on Saturday, August 2, with further updates on https://www.met.ie/.
With this being the middle of the summer and a bank holiday weekend, we ask that people pay particular attention to the information and advice, and take them into consideration for any planned activities. 🙏
