ALERT: Two Storm Floris weather warnings issued for Mayo
Two weather warnings have been issued for Mayo in anticipation of Storm Floris' arrival this coming Monday (August 4).
Two weather warnings have been issued for Mayo in anticipation of Storm Floris' arrival this coming Monday (August 4).
A Status Yellow Wind warning will be in place for the county from 2am on Monday until 1pm the same day.
The storm will bring very strong and blustery southwest winds veering westerly, with some damaging gusts.
Possible impacts include dangerous travelling conditions, structural damage and power outages.

A Status Yellow Rain warning has also been issued for Mayo, which will be in place from 2am on Monday until 10am the same morning.
Met Éireann have stated that Storm Floris will bring spells of heavy rain, with a chance of thunder.
