Alert: Popular Mayo walkway may be shut down in coming weeks

A popular walkway in Mayo has issued a public notice.

Tree-felling operations will take place in Clare Lake in Claremorris over the next few weeks - these works will involve the removal of badly diseased and dangerous ash trees due to the ash dieback problem. 

The public has been advised that parts of the walkway may be shut down from time to time as required. 

The park management has apologised for any inconvenience.
