The weather warning is valid between 3pm on Monday, August 26 and 10am on Tuesday, August 27.
The heavy and persistent rain will also affect the counties of Cork, Kerry, Donegal, Galway and Leitrim.
Met Éireann says potential impacts include localised flooding, and difficult travelling conditions while outdoor events could be impacted.
