A Mayo man was announced as the winner of a major Lucky Day Competitions recently.

"I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I won the Luxurious Spanish Villa or 275K Cash Alternative for £9.97 in June. I bought two tickets on the day of the draw, and to my amazement, I received the call saying I had won!", Hegarty told their Facebook page.
Gregory ultimately chose the 275K cash alternative which he described as a "life-changing sum" that has left him still in shock.
He added: "I plan to use this incredible prize to buy myself a house."
