Motorcyclist (30s) dies following collision with car in Tipperary

A male motorcyclist in his 30s has died following a collision involving a car at Ballynagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 4:45pm on Thursday.
The male motorcyclust was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The coroner has been notified, An Garda Síochána said.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 40s, was conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital as a precaution.
No other injuries were reported at the time.
The road is closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area of Ballynagrana, Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary, between 4pm and 5pm on Thursday, are asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.
