The Mayo squad for the 2025/2025 FAI Oscar Traynor Cup has been named.

Castlebar Celtic forward Jordan Loftus, who was vice-captain of last season’s team, has been appointed captain, with Ballyheane’s Ben Edeh as vice-captain. The team will be managed once again by Joe Kelly.

Notable omissions include Ballyheane’s Cillian Redmond, Ballina Town duo Jamie Cawley and Dylan McKee, and Westport United’s Cillian White.

Earlier this year, Mayo won the Connacht Interprovincial Cup and went on to reach the National final, where they were defeated by Waterford & District League in Umbro Park.

They will begin their campaign on Sunday, October 6, away to Sligo/Leitrim, whom they defeated in the national semi-final. Mayo will play Galway League on Sunday, November 10, in Umbro Park before playing Roscommon in Lecarrow on Sunday, December 8.

The Mayo squad is as follows: Ben Edeh, Nathan Reilly Doyle (Ballyheane), Stefan Hester, Ioseph O’Reilly, Jordan Loftus, Oran Groarke, Cathal Coyne, John Cocozza, Mark Cunningham, Niall Brennan, Jason Hunt (Castlebar Celtic), Adam Gallagher (Conn Rangers), Owen McHale (Erris United/ Iorras Aontaithe), Connor McCarthy (Glenhest Rovers), Micheal Schlingermann, Jack O’Connor, Cormac Caulfield (Kiltimagh/Knock United), Andrew Shally (Manulla), James Robinson, Harrison Quinn, Cillian McGlade, Adam Nugent, Darren Browne, Kevin Kitterick (Westport United).
