Football royalty are coming to Mayo for a charity night that promises entertainment and banter the likes of which you’ll never forget.
The Great National Hotel in Ballina is to host an Italia ’90 reunion later this month in the company of former Republic of Ireland captain and manager Mick McCarthy and his former teammates Tony Cascarino and Kevin Sheedy.
Sheedy is perhaps best remembered for his equalising goal against England at Italia ’90 and while all three were also part of the squad that appeared in the Euro ’88 Championships, only Tony Cascarino also featured in the Republic of Ireland squad that also took part in the 1994 World Cup Finals in the USA.

The three Irish football legends will reunite on Friday, September 26 where there will be stories you’ve never heard before, from the dressing room, to the pitch, off the field antics and drama, and everything in between.
Interviewing the Boys in Green will be local man Kieran O’Malley.
It’s fitting that the event takes place where their late and beloved Republic of Ireland manager Jack Charlton semi adopted as his hometown.

The evening in the Great National Hotel will help raise funds for the Mayo branch of Down Syndrome Ireland.
There will be some limited opportunities for a personal Meet and Greet with McCarthy, Cascarino and Sheedy before the main event. For details of that and other ticket options, visit www.peaktopagency.com/tickets-italia-90-ballina.
