Mayo players set for action in FAI Interpros tournament

Westport United's Darren Browne has been appointed captain of the Connacht team.
Connacht will begin their FAI Interpros journey this weekend, opening the tournament this evening (Friday) against Leinster at 7pm.
The new Amateur inter-provincial tournament is to determine Ireland’s representatives for the 2024/25 UEFA Regions Cup. The competition will feature provincial teams from Leinster, Munster, Ulster, and Connacht, competing in a round-robin format over three days.
Connacht will be hosting the inaugural event in Sligo.
The winning team of this tournament will represent Ireland in the UEFA Regions Cup, facing teams from Northern Ireland, Switzerland, and the victor of a preliminary group including Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden.
Connacht will play Munster on Saturday at 2pm in Ballisodare before finishing against Ulster in MacSharry Park or The Showgrounds on Sunday at 12pm.
