Mayo players selected by Connacht for summer games

Rugby: A total of 24 players representing schools and clubs from Mayo have selected for the Connacht Rugby Age Grade squads for the 2026 Summer Programme.

Over 140 players have been selected across the Connacht U19 Men, U18 Boys, U18 Girls and U17 Boys, with a wide range of clubs and schools across all five counties represented.

The announcement follows the release of the Age Grade fixtures last week. As per previous years the U19s and U18s will play three double headers against the other provinces, with the sole home double header coming on Saturday, August 22, when Creggs RFC hosts the two games against Leinster.

Exact venue and kick-off times for the U18 Girls will be announced in due course, while the U17 programme will again focus on further skill development and athletic conditioning.

U18 Boys: Ethan Biggins (Ballinrobe RFC, Glenstal Abbey), Charlie Lynott (Ballina RFC, Jesus & Mary Enniscrone). Alex Boland (Ballina RFC, St Muredach’s College), Liam Cadden (Westport RFC, Rice College), Matthew Mullaney (Westport RFC, Rice College), Cian Silke (Westport RFC, Rice College), Tom Smyth (Claremorris RFC, St Louis CS Kiltimagh).
