Man (80s) dies from injuries after being struck by a car in Co Clare

A man has died from his injuries after he was struck by a car in Ennis, Co. Clare, earlier this month.
The incident occurred on Abbey Street on December 8th at approximately 1:00 p.m.
The pedestrian, a male in his 80s, was conveyed to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
He was pronounced deceased on Monday. The Coroner was notified, and a post-mortem examination has since been completed, the results of which are not being made public.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Abbey Street area between 12:45 pm and 1:15 pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
