Man (50s) dies in single-vehicle Tipperary crash

A man, aged in his 50s, died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary on Thursday.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision that occurred on the R505 near Dundrum, Co Tipperary on Thursday at 5.50pm.
The driver, a man aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford where postmortem examinations will take place in due course, gardaí said.
The Coroner has been notified. The road is currently closed pending examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the R505 near Dundrum, Co Tipperary between 5.30pm and 6pm on Thursday.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam or mobile phone recordings) are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
