Man (20s) in hospital after collision involving electric scrambler in Co Clare

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital following a collision involving an electric scrambler in Co Clare.

The single-vehicle collision took place on Bóthar Na Luachra, Shannon on Saturday, shortly after 11:30pm.

The driver was taken from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries.

The scene has been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
