It could cost in the region of €200,000 to demolish and rebuild the Mayo Peace Park Wall after it was beset by subsidence issues. An expert report has recommended that the only solution is to demolish and rebuild the Castlebar structure.

Fencing is to be put in place around the cracking and subsiding Mayo Peace Park wall in the coming weeks. Mayo County Council issued an update to Castlebar councillors on what steps are being taken to address the issues at the Castlebar structure.
