Knockmore

The sad passing of Pauline Durcan

All were saddened to learn of the recent passing of Pauline Durcan (nee Jackson ), Corrimbla, Ballina. She was mother of Shirley Corcoran, Knockmore, and the late Pauline Timlin, Ballybeg. Her remains reposed at her residence on Thursday evening last, January 9, with her 11.30 Requiem Mass celebrated on Friday. There she was remembered during the homily as a great mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She too was a person of many talents and could turn her hands to create anything, be it sewing, knitting or baking. Pauline was always generous with her cakes and gifted them to many as well as for fundraising events ie guess the weight of the cake which was a great fundraiser for the Knockmore sale of work. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by many.

Pauline was pre-deceased by her husband Eugene, daughter Pauline Corcoran and grandson Shane and is survived by her son Brian, daughters Phyllis, Denise, Yvonne, Shirley and Patricia; her sister Phyllis, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends to whom deepest sympathy is extended. May she now rest in peace.
