The numbers drawn in the Knockmore GAA lotto which was held on Saturday, January 4, were 12, 15, 22 and 26. Weekly winners were; Raymond Dempsey and Betty Moyles. Christmas Wedding in Knockmore

Congratulations to Lauren Murray and Padraig Burke who were married in the Church of Christ the King, Knockmore, on Friday, December 27. Maid of Honour was Ava Murray and bridesmaids were Mary Moran and Erin Deacy. Bestman was Stephen Geraghty and groomsmen were David Burke and Ryan Duffy. Flowergirls were Sophie Flannery and Kate Flannery. Pageboys were Wyatt Burke and Sebastian Burke. Family, relatives and friends attended the ceremony which was celebrated by Fr Michael Flynn with music provided by Barry Hughes. The reception was held afterwards in Belleek Castle. Both Lauren and Padraig are wished every happiness for their future years together.

Knockmore GAA Club annual general meeting takes place on Saturday, January 18, at 6pm.

Conn Rangers lotto

The numbers drawn on Monday, December 30 were; 5, 15 20, 34. There was no jackpot winner. Mid Killala Pioneer Dinner Dance

The PTAA dinner dance takes place in Hiney's Upper Deck, Crossmolina, on Friday, January 31, with music by Micheal S and Clodagh Togher. Tickets €30. Club Awards

Ardagh GAA Club's annual end of season awards night held in Mickey O'Boyle's last week proved an outstanding success. The packed attendance was treated to many festive treats and fun which culminated in the player of the year award presentations. Those to receive awards were Stephen Rochford, Senior Player of the Year; Oisin McAndrew, Senior B Player of the Year and Diarmuid Barrett, Young Player of the Year. The three young award recipients received a rapturous applause from all in attendance. Club officers congratulated the award winners and thanked all those who attended the social, those who donated spot prizes and Sonya and staff at Mickey O'Boyle's for their wonderful courtesy and efficiency.

Function

Mid-Killala PTAA annual dinner dance will take place on Friday, January 31, in Hiney's, Crossmolina, with music by Michael S and Clodagh Togher. Tickets are priced at €30 each and are available from Maeve Tierney, Crossmolina, Una Birrane, Moygownagh and Phyllis McLoughlin, Ardagh.

Exercises to Music

Exercise to music classes continue in Ardagh Community Centre on Thursday nights from 7-8pm. The classes are fun filled and suitable for all ages and all abilities. Tea/coffee will be served afterwards. The classes are subsidised by Mayo Sports Partnership for the month of January, and cost €5 per night (payable on the night). It is a great way to start 2025.

Recent death

Ireland Lights Up

Naomh Padraig health and wellbeing committee along with Ballycastle Athletic Club are taking part in ‘Ireland Lights Up’ GAA initiative. A walk will take place every Tuesday for 6 week's starting on this evening Tuesday, January 14, at 7.30pm at Ballycastle Hall. All age groups are welcome. Please wear high viz clothing. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
