Kiltimagh Tidy Towns will provide the Grand Marshal for the 2025 St Patrick’s Day Parade.

This year’s parade theme is 'Home is Where the Heart Is'. The prize for the best float is €1,000.
This promises to be a celebration of pride in Irish culture and history, in community, and in celebrating the cultures of those from all over the world who have made the local community their home. The committee invites Coilltes living away to come home to join the community, to celebrate the national holiday, with cash prizes on offer for winning floats.

Clann Machua Drama Group is contesting the confined section of the All-Ireland Drama Circuit, this year, with Roddy Doyle’s three-act play, ‘The Snapper'.
After outings in Doonbeg, Co Clare, and Mountmellick, Co Laois, last week, the group takes to the boards this Thursday, March 13th, in Kildare Town, and Friday, March 14th in Charleville Co Cork. Other dates and festivals are March 21st - Claregalway, March 22nd - Rossmore, Co Cork, March 27th - Glenamaddy, and March 28th - Holycross, Co Tipperary.
The group staged a few warm-up performances of the play in Kiltimagh, Westport and Castlebar. The play was well received and the money raised will help defray the cost of competing in the circuit. Apart from the financial burden, the competition can be gruelling with adjudicators ruling on the performance nightly.
Nine groups will qualify for the All-Ireland Finals which will be held in Claremorris in April. The group is wished the best of luck in the competition.

The Kiltimagh Knock United masters team wrapped up the Division 1 title last week, winning their eighth game in a row. This puts them clear at the top of the table, beyond the reach of second-place Ballyglass, with two games remaining.
The games are played on the astro-turf of Umbro Park, Milebush, Castlebar. KKU have scored 45 goals in the eight games, conceding 21.
It’s a different story for the club in the Mayo Super League, however. They lost their opening two games to Glenhest Rovers and Conn Rangers. While it is early days yet and both games were away from home, this is a tough division and new manager, Alan Gough, will want to get points on the board to move up the table.
