Local Notes: Great win for Claremorris U12 boys in Connacht Cup

The Claremorrris U12A Boys who beat Moyne Villa in the Connacht Cup recently.

The Claremorris AFC U12A Boys took on Moyne Villa in the Connacht Cup recently in the first outing of the new year.

They got off to a great start through a beautifully taken long-range effort from Conall Boyle, followed shortly later by a neat finish in the corner by Ryan Walsh, going in 2-0 to the good at half time. Early in the second half, Conor Murphy added a third and they looked to be cruising to a comfortable victory but two quick goals by the visitors late in the second half set up a tense finish.

However, when Murphy added a second it ended the contest and finished 4-2 to the home side. Onwards to the next round!

Special mention to Ethan Grehan and Jack Veldon who were exceptional on the day. Thanks to all the support on a beautiful day.
