All roads lead to Parnell Park in Dublin next Sunday as the Claremorris ladies football team prepares to play in their first-ever LGFA All-Ireland Club Junior Championship final.

Aidan Brennan’s side will take on O’Donovan Rossa of Cork at 2pm.

It’s been an incredible journey for this Claremorris team, as they defeated St Brigid’s in the Mayo LGFA junior county final. From there, they overcame Sligo’s CT Gaels 4-9 to 0-12 in the Connacht semi-final in Tubbercurry.

Then they won the Connacht LGFA Junior Club Championship earlier this month for the first time after they beat Leitrim’s St Brigid’s 2-13 to 2-8 in the final in Boyle.

Last Sunday week was a special day at Canon Gibbons Park as Claremorris netted five goals to defeat Erin’s Own Lavey by 5-4 to 2-11 in the semi-final. The outstanding Nina Wallace notched a brace, while Bree Hession, Ashleagh Sammon and Laura Kelly raised green flags.

Please bring the support and bring a big crowd to Parnell Park on Sunday next to support the girls are their quest for All-Ireland glory. The throw-in time is at 2pm.

You can donate to Claremorris LGFA training fund on www.idonate.ie.

Panto

Claremorris Town Hall Theatre steps into the Panto world for the first time in its 54-year history, with the classic tale of Cinderella.

Prince Charming is holding a ball to meet his bride-to-be. Could this be the chance that Cinders has been waiting for? This updated rags-to-riches tale will show us what dreams are really made of.

So, if the slipper fits, get ready to go to the ball in the Hall, when the biggest, the best and most magical Panto of them all, ‘Cinderella’ comes to the Claremorris Town Hall Theatre stage this December.

It’s really great to see everyone enjoying the experience and having so much fun, we are very excited to bring that energy to the stage and share with our audiences’.
