Sales start for 2026 upgraded Volvo EX90

Faster charging and improved safety and driver support are features of the Volvo EX90.
An upgraded Volvo EX90 is now on sale for 2026 priced from €99,895.
Faster charging and improved safety and driver support are features.
With a core computer upgrade, the EX90 will come with connected safety alerts for slippy roads, hazards ahead, and accidents ahead. Emergency Stop Assist will bring the vehicle to a controlled stop in its lane if the driver fails to respond to attention or hands-off warnings, i.e. due to sudden illness. Once the car is stopped, the new e-call feature will automatically connect the car to an emergency call centre linked to Volvo Cars.
A new 800V architecture reduces heat generation during charging allowing fast charging speeds - adding up to 250km of range in 10 minutes.
The company also introduces the new single motor, rear-wheel-drive version and Plus trim level available for both single motor and twin motor versions. Additionally, the EX90 will now have an electrochromic panoramic roof that lets you adjust the glass transparency.
Owners of the 2025 EX90 will receive a one-time free upgrade of their car’s core computer through a scheduled Volvo workshop visit.
