New generation VW Transporter revealed

The new Transporter will be offered in diesel, plug-in hybrid, and electric drive.
The new generation of Volkswagen’s Transporter has been unveiled and will be part of a pre-sales campaign in Ireland towards the end of this year.
Along with the Caravelle people carrier, the new Transporter will be offered in diesel, plug-in hybrid, and electric drive. Diesels will be available in three power options, from 110-170hp. The electric versions will start with a 64kWh battery and three power options, and there will later be a smaller battery version for use with urban deliveries.
The seventh-generation Transporter will have more space and payload and a greater towing capacity than the outgoing T6.1.
LED main and tail lights will be standard, as will be an electronic parking brake and fully digital instruments.
Pricing and model details will be made available when pre-sales start in Q4 this year.

From florists to gift shops, and deli’s to bakeries, Ford is searching for the Ultimate Pro amongst Ireland’s small, independent businesses. Consumers and businesses alike are asked to nominate the business they believe would benefit from a 12-month lease of a Ford Transit Custom to transform their business, celebrating the vibrant en diverse enterprises that enrich local communities across the country.
Small, independent businesses can nominate themselves, and customers can nominate their favourite local businesses by commenting on the dedicated @FordIreland Instagram competition post. The five businesses with the most nominations will be shortlisted and the public will have the final say by voting for their favourite.
