Audi and Volvo models have increased range

The Q4 40 e-tron has a range of up to 405km thanks to its 63 kWh battery capacity and DC charging power of 175 kW.

Audi has strengthened the Q4 e-tron series by adding a high-range entry-level variant, the Q4 40 e-tron with a range of up to 405km thanks to its 63 kWh battery capacity and DC charging power of 175 kW.

Both Sport and S Line model variants will be available in Ireland, the entry-level model with a 63 kWh battery can be ordered now. DC charging power of 175 kW allows recharging of up to 150km in 10 minutes.

Prices are from €48,480 with the application of the SEAI grand. Further VRT relief is available.

Meanwhile, Volvo says the new ES90 goes faster and further than any previous Volvo car.

It adds 300km in just 10 minutes at 350 kW fast charging stations and offers a driving range of 700km on a single charge WLTP.

The ES90 is powered by 800-volt technology, which makes its debut in this fully electric model allowing the battery to get charged faster and more efficient.

The ES90 is designed to be a premium Volvo car and is a step towards full electrification.

The car was revealed online last week via a livestreaming event.
