Ireland call-up for another talented Mayo footballer

Sligo Rovers keeper Amber Hardy from Foxford
Sligo Rovers goalkeeper Amber Hardy from Foxford has been called up to the Ireland women's U19 squad for an upcoming double header against Belgium.
The Bit O'Red netminder previously played for her home club Straide & Foxford United before making the move to the Showgrounds. She has also represented Mayo in the Gaynor Cup.
She faces tough but friendly competition for the number one jersey against Katie Keane of Athlone Town and Nicole Nix of Wexford but has every chance of representing her country against Belgium in either game, taking place on October 26 and October 29.
Amber is the second Mayo-born footballer to get the international call up in recent days. Former Kiltimagh/Knock United midfielder Thomas Morley, who is also on the books at Sligo Rovers, was called up to the Ireland men's U19 squad and made his debut against Greece on Wednesday.
