Four men arrested after assault causing harm at Midlands Prison

Gardaí have arrested four men in connection with an investigation into assault causing harm at Midlands Prison, Portlaoise.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on December 6th.
The four men, who are all aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on Friday morning by gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit, Laois/Offaly Garda Division.
They are all being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Garda Stations in the Garda Eastern Region.
