The launch of the Infrangible Bonds Collection by artist Bó Gorm will take place in The Jackie Clarke Collection on Friday the 27th of February at 7p.m.

Following a very successful exhibition in The Michael Davitt Museum in Straide, this unique collection will be available to view in the Ballina venue for a number of weeks.

The collection takes us on an epic journey through ancient Celtic kingdoms, through myth and legend, through lands of kings and druids, saints and scholars, fairies and folklore, poets and bards.

Crossing the boundaries of past and present, of fact and fiction, of nations and continents, the collection creates an unbreakable bond between our past, our present and our future.

This is a stunning collection of work with themes based in Irish myth and legend and demonstrating the infrangible bonds that bind us together knowingly or unknowingly, through our shared experiences, our religion, our arts and crafts and our cultural identity with a wider world.

The images, which are reverse painted on glass, are magnificently colourful depictions of figures and themes from ancient settlers and mythological figures from our Celtic heritage. Firmly rooted in our national folklore, this collection brings us on a journey through our shared past and our links to other nations, peoples and the cultural influences which connect us nationally and internationally.

The collection will be introduced on the night by Yvonne Fannon and Margaret Fannon, and refreshments will be served. Please come and join us for this exciting event. This amazing event is free of charge; however, booking is essential. Please call 096 73508 to book a place.
