Comedian Bob’s back in town

Comedian Bob Hennigan is returning to Ballina Arts Centre later this month.

Described once as ‘Mayo’s most charming ball of misery’, Ballina-born comedian Bob Hennigan has been confirmed to play The Comedy Tent at All Together Now Festival in August, alongside Ardal O’Hanlon and Tommy Tiernan.

Bob will reveal his new show at Ballina Arts Centre on Friday, May 24.

A past winner of the prestigious TedFest Toilet Duck Award and Galway Fringe Festival Comedy Award, Bob has supported legends like Jimmy Carr, Kevin Bridges and Tommy Tiernan.

More recently, in 2023, Bob supported John Colleary and Reginald D. Hunter on their Irish tours.

Bob is the resident MC of Ireland’s ‘Smallest Comedy Club’ in Galway, where he lives, and has graced the stage at every major comedy venue and festival across Ireland, including Dublin's International Comedy Club, The Laughter Lounge, The Vodafone Comedy Festival, Galway Comedy Festival, Wild Roots and many more.

Following a diagnosis of ADHD in his 40s, Bob has started to speak about his experience with the condition and even presented an ADHD-themed show ‘It Doesn't ADhD Up”, which sold out at the Galway Comedy Festival and played other venues, including in his hometown of Ballina last year.

Bob now returns to Ballina with his latest show ‘Bob Hennigan: So…any other craic?’ Tickets are priced at €18 and €16, and his show starts at 8pm.
