Cannabis worth more than €1.2 million seized and three men arrested

Gardaí and Revenue officers have seized cannabis worth more than €1.2 million and arrested three men in Dublin.

The intelligence-led operation on Tuesday uncovered over 60kg of cannabis, along with €2,900 cash and a cash-counting machine during follow-up searches.

The three men, aged in their 30s, 40s and 50s, are being detained at Garda stations in north and west Dublin, while investigations continue.

A total of 56.5kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €1.13 million was seized initially, but the follow-up searches then uncovered a further 4kg of cannabis with an estimated value of €80,000.

In total, €1.21 million worth of controlled drugs were seized.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
