Ballina Town appoint interim manager for remainder of 2024 season

Ballina Town's Super League will be under the interim management of Trevor Nash for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Ballina Town FC has appointed Trevor Nash as interim manager of the club's Super League team for the remainder of the 2024 season.

He will be assisted by Aidan Cowan, who returns to a role within the management structure having previously held a similar position in 2021 and 2022.

In a statement, the club said that the current manager, Fergal Forde, has had "to step back from his duties due to personal reasons".

"Trevor and the Nash family have a long history with Ballina Town and indeed the Ballina United club as well. Similarly, Aidan Cowan is a Ballina Town stalwart who brings great experience to the management structure. They are wished the very best of luck in their new roles."

Heading into the second half of the season, the team sits third in the Elverys Sports Super League and will meet Castlebar Celtic in the Westaro Cup final on July 21.

Their first challenge is a Calor Super Cup Quarter-Final away to Westport United 'B' tomorrow afternoon, with kick-off at 2.30pm
