Arrest made as police probe suspicious death in Belfast

An arrest has been made as police investigate a suspicious death in west Belfast.

A police spokesperson said officers are at the scene of the incident in the Helen’s Wood Court area of Dunmurry.

“One person has been arrested and remains in police custody at this time,” they said.

“Enquiries are ongoing and an update will be issued in due course.”

Sinn Féin MLA Órlaithí Flynn has expressed shock and sadness at the news.

“My immediate thoughts are with this individual’s family and friends. Their grief will be immeasurable right now,” she said.

“Anyone with information should bring it forward to the PSNI immediately and assist with its investigation.”
