Volunteers roll up their sleeves for convent clean-up
A group of volunteers from Telus who helped with the clean-up at the old Convent in Ballina
A team of 40-plus volunteers from Ballina-based Telus Digital Ireland rolled up their sleeves at the former Convent of Mercy on McDermott Street, Ballina last week, taking on the challenging task of clearing the overgrown internal courtyard.
The ongoing work by various groups and dozens of volunteers is bringing new life to the historic old convent building and its surrounds, led by the Convent Regeneration Committee.
