Kilglass Foroige Club are delighted to be partnering with Enniscrone Kilglass Community Games for the new Chess Club for young people aged 10-15 years in Enniscrone and the surrounding areas. This initiative is thanks to Conor Lang, a 6th class student, who with the support of his parents and sister and Kilglass Foroige started on Monday, November 20, from 7-8pm with an information/registration evening in West Sligo Family Resource Centre. Join the chess club to learn, practise and sharpen your chess skills while making some friends along the way. Enniscrone Kilglass GAA Club are holding Friday night coaching for the U9s from 6 to 7pm, U11s from 7 to 8pm and U13s from 8-9pm.

Exciting new bingo is starting in the Old Church, Enniscrone, every Tuesday at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm. There will be free tea and coffee. You can win €20 on lines and corners, €50 on full hours; €100 on the first pool; €400 on the second pool on 45 numbers. The cost is €20 for a double book including pool and €12 for single book including pool. The proceeds are going towards Western Gaels Hurling and Camogie Club. All are welcome to come along and support and be in with a chance to win.
Christmas indoor food and craft market takes place every Saturday in the Old Church Enniscrone from 11am to 3pm. It features a wide range of handmade gifts, homemade baking, Christmas decorations, vegetables, fresh fish, bric a brac and local crafts. All are welcome and your support will be much appreciated.
Easkey Christmas Market will be held on Sunday, December 10, from 11am to 4pm in Easkey Community Centre. There will be over 35 stalls, a bumper raffle and all proceeds are in aid of Easkey Meals on Wheels which provide meals to the sick and housebound throughout West Sligo.
Rathlee Tidy Towns committee thank most sincerely all those who donated, supported and helped out in any way, with the recent Bric-a-Brac sale and raffle which raised €1073. The proceeds will go towards the construction of the outside Crib at Rathlee church. Winners of the raffle were Audrey Kavanaghg and Loretta Carden. The cake which was donated by Mary Conway was won by William Patterson.

Christmas Wonderland will take place in Dromore West Community Centre on December 3 and 17. The cost is €10 per child with U1’s and adults going free. Tireragh Community Support Ltd are delighted to be hosting one of their community partners, Kilglass Enniscrone Utd FC, at their market for a fundraising cake sale. This will raise vital money for the club and for one of EEUFC’s chosen charities, and they will provide lots of delicious goodies on the day.

The Buggy Buddies programme with Bernie Finley, in conjunction with Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership, is held on Wednesday mornings at 9.45am for a walk at 10am. All are welcome to come and join for a walk, a cuppa and chat.

With the shed being very busy and the loss of some key members, Enniscrone Men’s Shed are on the lookout for more people to join the group. If you know someone you think would be keen on joining or popping down the odd day, the shed is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
Training takes place on Monday evenings at 8pm at Enniscrone/Kilglass GAA pitch and the ladies are looking for new members to join them. No experience is needed, so come along on the night and see if you would like to join the team of amazing ladies. The Gaelic4Mothers&Others initiative sees women playing Ladies Gaelic football in a fun, friendly relaxed environment where you can have an hour to yourself, learn a new skill and meet new people.

Men on the Move programme has commenced in Castleconnor Community Centre. Are you over 30 years and want to start exercising and feel fitter, have more energy as well as having a bit of craic? The eight week programme commenced last week and classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 8.30 to 9.30pm. The progamme costs €20 and is part funded by Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership. The numbers drawn in the Castleconnor GAA lotto held on November 18 last were 9, 10, 28 and 39. Lucky Dip winner was Daniel Ruane. The jackpot for the latest draw which was held on November 25, was €19,100.
