Moy Davitts GAA has yet again proven that it’s members are as capable off the pitch as they are on it, with Christmas to be celebrated with a Connacht title on the shelf. That’s after the club’s brilliant young musicians and singers group won the ballad group competition at the Connacht Scór na nÓg Finals. The event, which had to be rescheduled on account of Storm Darragh, was originally due to be held in Claremorris but the Moy Davitts participants had to make the longer journey South Roscommon for the refixed finals which were held at Lecarrow Community Centre.
The finest of local talent from GAA clubs from across the province gathered to vie for provincial titles and the chance to advance to the All-Ireland Finals in Monaghan at the end of January. The competition was intense, with outstanding performances across all cultural categories.
