There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night, April 4, in Hiney’s Bar, when the numbers drawn were 12, 22, 26 and 30. No punter matched three numbers either and three tickets were drawn; Fiona Hopkins, Ballina; Brian Benson, Chapel Road, Crossmolina; and Enda Holmes, Moygownagh, and they won €50 each. The jackpot in the latest draw held on Saturday, April 11, was €4,950.

Kilmurry 25 Card results

Winners in the Kilmurry 25 card game which was held last week were; best of 20 games 1st Patrick Gilroy and Richard Devers, 2nd Ray and Mary McNamara, and 3rd Kevin Murphy and Frank Heffernan. Raffle winners were; 1st Mary Keane, 2nd Kevin Murphy, and 3rd Kevin Murphy. Hampers were won by 1st Sean Keane and Patrick Gilroy, 2nd Darragh Sheridan and Vincent Crowley.

Bereavement Support Group

The weekly bereavement support group has resumed at Knock Shrine on Wednesday mornings at 11am in the Family Centre. This meeting provides an opportunity for those who have lost a loved one to meet others who are bereaved and to share and talk about their experience of loss as well as finding hope and healing again in their lives. No appointment is needed.

The late Noel (John) McDonagh remembered

The late Noel McDonagh, Ballymacredmond, Knockmore, was fondly remembered at his 12 noon Requiem Mass celebrated in Christ the King Church, Knockmore on Tuesday, March 31. Noel was formerly of Creggs Rd. Ballina and a native of Ballaghaderreen. He was son of the late Tom and Bea McDonagh and a member of a family of thirteen.

Noel was pre-deceased by his wife Mary, his parents Bea and Tom, his sisters Frances, Carmel, Patricia and Angela and was the beloved father of Karen, Darren and Siobhan and dear grandad to Bronagh, Callum, Laoise, Alex, Craig and Siofra and brother of Sean, Donagh, Breege, Maureen, Collette, Annette, Dolores and Martina. We take this opportunity to extend our deepest sympathy to all of them at this time and assure them of our prayers. May Noel now rest in peace.

Sympathy

We extend our deepest sympathy to the following bereaved in the parish; to Josephine Dodd, Coolcronan on the sad passing of her brother, Michael Crean, Ballina; to the husband Martin and family, of the late Maureen Timlin, Crossmolina. Martin is formerly from Toneybane, Knockmore. Our heartfelt sympathy also to the parents and family of the late James Bourke, Swinford (nephew of Sean Bourke, Lily McHale and Maura Bourke). May they all rest in peace.

Cash for Clothes fundraiser

A cash for clothes fundraiser will be held in Rehins N.S. to raise funds for educational resources. Wanted are clothes (clean and dry), shoes trainers, handbags, and belts. No duvets, pillows, bedding, soiled clothes or toys please. Drop off at school on Monday, April 21 and Tuesday 22 between 9.30 and 11.30am.

Ballinahaglish Cemetery Committee

The committee continue to meet every other Tuesday evening at 7pm in Ballinahaglish Cemetery for grass cutting and upkeep of same and are seeking volunteers to help . Contact Tommy O'Hora on 087 6378715. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank You

A special thank you to the priests of the parish for the beautiful and meaningful Holy Week ceremonies in both Rathduff and Knockmore churches. It was very much appreciated by the large numbers present and by many away who viewed them online.

Well done

Well done and thank you from Knockmore Village Enhancement committee to all who turned out for their annual spring clean in the village and adjacent roads which took place on Easter Monday.

The numbers drawn on March 30 last were; 2, 5, 19 and 24. There was no jackpot winner. Weekly and season winners were; Gerry Knight, Joe Ferguson, Ciara Durkan, Cian Canavan, Kevin Walsh and Cian Horgan. The jackpot in the draw held on April 6, was €15,300.
