Lotto

There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday, August 9, when the draw was held in Maughan’s. The numbers drawn were 7, 24, 32 and 33. Three punters matched three numbers; Rita Cadden, c/o Joanne Caden, Deerpark, Crossmolina; Madge Moffatt, Kilmurry House, Castlehill; and Kevin Rielly, Ballynock and they each won €50. The jackpot in the latest draw which was held on Saturday, August 16, was €3,750.

Development draw winners

The first Club Development Draw took place in Mickie O’Boyle’s in association with Ardagh GAA Club on Saturday, August 9. Crossmolina Club had two winners; Patrick and Noreen Howley, Erris St., Crossmolina and Francis Gilroy and Kathleen Jordan, Enniscoe, and they each won €200. The next draw is hosted by the Davitts Club and Crossmolina Deel Rovers wish good luck to all their supporters who have bought our tickets.

Parish Cruise

The flight information is as follows: Aer Lingus from Dublin and transferred by coach to Southampton Cruise Port. Departing on EI 156 on Saturday, August 30, at 8.55am and arrives at Heathrow 10.20am and then coach to Southampton Cruise Port.

Return on EI 165 Saturday, September 6, departing at 2.20pm from Heathrow arrives in Dublin at 3.34pm. Return by coach to Crossmolina.

Crossmolina Town Hall

Many thanks to people who have given donations to help in revamping the hall. The committee are looking for people with passion, energy, ideas and vision to be part of restoring this building into a thriving community hub, to join their committee. The next meeting is Tuesday, August 26, at 8pm.

The circus is coming to Crossmolina Show Field next weekend, August 22, 23 and 24.

St. Tiernan's College re-opening dates

1st year students only will return on Friday, August 22; 3rd and Leaving Cert students only on Monday, August 25; 1st , 2nd and 5th year students only on Tuesday, August 26; 1st and T.Y. students only on Wednesday, August 27; and all students return on Thursday, August 28.

Ardagh

Ardmoy reach semis

Ardmoy minors compete in the Homeland Minor D football championship semi finals this evening, (Tuesday), when they take on Swinford at the Robert McCallion Memorial Park at 7pm. The team and management would appreciate a huge support for the fixture. In the other semi-final Moy Davitts are pitted against Charlestown also scheduled to take place this evening at Foxford at 7pm. Ardmoy defeated Kiltimagh on a scoreline of 4-17 to 2-15 in the quarter final last week.

Day Out

Ardagh Social Services are organising a day trip on Monday, August 25. Bus departs Ardagh Community Centre at 11am. Tea and scones on arrival at Jack's Old Cottage in Islandeady with a talk on the history of the cottage from Joe Moylette. This will be followed by a guided tour of The Museum of Country Life in Turlough at 2pm. Dinner will be served in the Bayleaf Restaurant at Horkans Garden Centre at 4pm. Winners

There was no outright winner of Ardagh GAA Club's monthly lotto draw held recently. Numbers drawn were, 1, 19, 2 and 6. Lucky €50 winners were Margaret and Michael Clarke and Claire Murphy (online). The lotto is a vital means of raising necessary finance for the club and officials express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has purchased lotto tickets to support the fundraiser.

Fantasy Football

Ardagh GAA Club has announced that its very popular Fantasy Football League fundraising event returns for the 2025 season. All funds raised will go towards the new gym and meeting rooms construction development currently underway.
