Ardagh GAA club officers have extended their sincere gratitude to their junior team management of 2025. They add that the club, team and supporters enjoyed a tremendously successful season and hope to continue this momentum into 2026. Special words of thanks to team manager Paul Moran; selectors Declan Kelly, Colm Mitchell; coach Sean Carey; stats Jack Strong and Sean O’Hora. The club also acknowledges the work, dedication and time put in by the group of selfless volunteers.
Ardagh GAA Club's annual bag pack takes place this Saturday, December 13, at Dunnes Stores, Ballina. The organising committee have issued an appeal for as many volunteers as possible to help with this vital fundraising event. A timetable of slots is now available and those able to assist are asked to contact any committee member as soon as possible.
Heartiest congratulations to Declan O'Boyle who has been elected chairman of the North Mayo GAA Board. Declan, who is also a Mayo GAA referee, was elected by club delegates at the North Mayo Board's annual convention held in Lacken Community Centre last week. All at Ardagh GAA Club wish Declan every success during his term as chairman.
The weekend 25 card drives and bingo are proving very popular with the general public since they recommenced some weeks ago. Bingo is held each Saturday night in the community centre at 8pm while the 25 card drives take place in the centre upstairs in the Deel Room on Sunday nights commencing at 9pm. Both events provide a convivial and friendly atmosphere where people can meet and forge friendships.
A Christmas variety show in aid of MacHale Rovers ladies football team will take place in Ardagh Community Centre this coming Sunday evening, December 14. A wide range of participating groups from across the area will showcase their individual talents when taking to the stage at 7pm. A show not to be missed.
Parish Priest Fr Pat Munnelly will undertake his First Friday calls to parishioners this coming Friday, December 12, starting at 11am.
Ardagh GAA Club will hold its lotto draw on December 28. The jackpot stands at €5,900 and tickets are currently on sale. Full details are on the club website www.ardaghgaaclub.com where the online link is supplied.

A Live Crib at the Courtyard hosted by Crossmolina Agricultural Show will take place on December 21, from 3.30 5.30pm. There will be a sensory slot from 3.30-4pm. See Santa and Mrs Claus arrive in Crossmolina by horse and carriage at 3pm, live crib with special guests, storytelling, hot chocolate, mulled wine and much more. 50% of donations on the day will go towards The Daisy Lodge beside the show office.

There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday, November 29, in Hineys, when the numbers drawn were 5, 7, 20 and 25. No punters matched three numbers and three tickets were drawn; Michael Carolan, Fotish, Crossmolina; Bridie Conway, Abbeytown, Crossmolina; Peadar and Karen Flynn, St Mary’s Park, Crossmolina, and they each won €50. The jackpot in the draw held on Saturday, December 6, was €6,150.
