Ardagh.

The late Mrs Margaret O'Hora

The death took place last week of Mrs Margaret O'Hora (nee (Finan), Cloonkee. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Paddy, brothers John and Peter, sisters Kathleen and Marie. Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons John and Gerard, daughter Colette, brothers Bernard, Paddy and Michael, grandchildren Caolán, Sean, Aoife, Brian, Diane, Ruairí, Karen, Eimear and Cian, great-grandchild Diego, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Breege and Mary, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Margaret possessed a warm and endearing personality which she carried throughout her life not least in her nursing profession where she is fondly remembered for her sympathetic and compassionate care to her patients and colleagues at St. Joseph's District Hospital, Ballina, where she worked for many years.

She was held in very high esteem throughout the community and beyond and this was reflected in the huge attendance at her obsequies at Hiney's Funeral Home, Crossmolina, and at Requiem Mass in the Church of the Assumption, Ardagh, followed by her burial in Crossmolina cemetery. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Junior Championship

Ardagh find themselves in a five-team group in this year's junior championship which was made last week. Included in the Treanlaur Catering sponsored group one section are Northern Gaels, Killala, Ballycroy and Achill. Pride and passion will be to the fore for each club when the championship kicks-off in earnest later in the year. Ardagh's first outing will be against Ballycroy away on a date yet to be fixed Lent.

Daily Mass during Lent will be celebrated each morning at 10am from Tuesday to Friday inclusive. Weekend Masses on Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 11am. Lenten prayer books and Trocaire boxes are placed at the back of the church and families are encouraged to take one of each home.
