The numbers drawn on June 10, were, 2, 26, 27 and 28. Consolation prizes went to Phil Walsh, Margaret Herbert and Mary Murphy, Foxford. The numbers drawn on June 17, were, 4, 8, 11 and 18. There was no jackpot winner on the night. Consolation prizes went to Kathleen Murray, John Taheny and grandchildren and Lisa Doherty. The jackpot this week is €2,050. Tickets are sold locally.

First Communion

Congratulations to the 23 children from St. Joseph's NS. Killala and Templemary NS who received their First Holy Communion in Killala Parish church recently.

Recent death

The death took place recently of Wayne Rynn, Moyne, Killala. He reposed at Lynns Funeral Home, Killala, on Saturday evening and was removed to the Church of Ireland, Killala, on Sunday for prayer service and buried in Mullafarry Church graveyard. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anam.

Retirement

Mrs Joan King is wished good health and happiness as she retires from teaching in Lacken NS. She first taught in Creevagh NS before its closure in 2018.

Swimming lessons

Baptism

Welcomed into God’s family were Maverick Gerard Reape and Alex John Devaney who were baptised in Bonniconlon Church recently.

Children’s Choir

The children's choir appeals to any child who would like to play a role in their monthly church liturgy to sit in the company of the choir. This will enable other roles, other than singing or music, to be assigned to a child such as Prayers of the Faithful, Readings, bringing up of the offertory gifts etc. Choir practice every Tuesday evening at 8pm. Welcome Home Week Bonniconlon is taking place from July 31 to August 9. A programme of events are to follow with lots for everyone to look forward to.

Bonniconlon Biodiversity Group

A new Bonniconlon Biodiversity Group has recently been established under the umbrella of the community council. As part of its development, they would welcome ideas, suggestions, or proposals from local groups and organisations that may help shape future biodiversity projects or community-led environmental actions in the area. They would also like to invite expressions of support from established community groups who may wish to support this initiative. Moygownagh ICA have organised a Community Bonfire this evening, Tuesday, June 23, at 7pm at Moygownagh Community Centre. All are welcome.
